HISTORY of the islands
The Republic of Palau is most of Coroline island of the north west pacific part of the Palauan islands. The first colonies were the Spanish and they called most of the island Los Palos. Spain maintained most sovereignty over the islands until Germany purchased all of the island that they wanted. Then shortly after the start of World War two in 1914 Japan took over the Coraline's and now as a Japanese colony Palau gained modern infrastructure.
The economy continues to get larger and larger every day from most of the substance of agriculture and the fishing that happens. Most of the island lie within an expansive lagoon that is enclosed by the barrier reef. The island are a member of the the UN “Trust Territory of the pacific island.” There are large hillside Terran and nummars stone remains from past structures

- Johnson Toribiong- From 2008 to 2012 Johnson was an attorney polation and had a victory in the November election and was rejecting in November of 2012
- Ruby Joy Gabriel- Female sprinter who competed in the 100 meters event in the 2012 Olympics.
- Keesha Keane- Swimmer in the 50 meter women's freestyle at the 2012 summer Olympics and fished at a time of 28.25 seconds in 50th place
- Stevick Patris- Weightlifter who competed in the 2012 Olympics in the men 62 kg and ranked 14th
